How do I sign up to become a registered apprentice?

Once you have located a sponsor employer in a chosen trade, you and the sponsor will need to register with the Industry Training Authority (ITA).  Forms and information regarding this can be found at http://www.itabc.ca.  Employers must have an ITA Organization ID number prior to registering apprentices.

Apprentices generally work for one year before attending the first level of technical training at a public or private ITA designated training institution.  ITA designated training institutions are listed on the ITA’s website and can be found at http://www.itabc.ca/Page496.aspx  and can be accessed by ‘clicking’ on your chosen trade.
