CITO Staff

GEORGE DOUGLAS, CEO
George joined CITO as CEO in January 2007. George is responsible for the overall operation of the organization. He provides strategic leadership and advises the CITO Board with regard to strategy, policy and organizational direction. He holds a Master of Arts in the Faculty of Education from Simon Fraser University and two British Columbia trades qualifications. He has over twenty years of experience working in the field in the education and industry training environment in the Private, Public Post Secondary and Government arenas.

DAVE COLEMAN, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Dave joined CITO in 2007. As Director of Operations, Dave is responsible for the management of program development activities for CITO’s 33 trades as well meeting with industry groups, training providers and other stakeholder groups to ensure training programs meet industries needs. Dave holds an Interprovincial Red Seal designation and brings over twenty years of field and administration experience in the BC apprenticeship system and building trades.

CINDY DIMITRIJEVIC, SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Cindy joined CITO in 2008 and is responsible for CITO’s corporate affairs, financial and budget management and staff supervision and development. Cindy came to CITO with 15 years administration experience working in the trades training and apprenticeship system.

LAURA CHASTON, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Laura has been with CITO since the start of 2009 and is tasked with administrative and program development responsibilities. She brings strong organizational skills to CITO from her previous years in the administration and banking industries.

BEA WALTERS, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Bea holds an Interprovincial Red Seal designation and before coming to CITO worked as a trade’s instructor for more than 15 years. Bea is responsible for the facilitation of program reviews and exam bank development for CITO’s trades.

JAN WIEBE, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Jan brings over 20 years experience to CITO from working within the Manitoba and BC apprenticeship and college training systems. As a program development officer Jan is responsible for the facilitation of program and exam bank development activities.
