About CITO

CITO has been in operation as an Industry Training Organization (ITO) since the spring of 2006 and is the ITO responsible for the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) sector of the construction industry. CITO is charged with leading and supporting the development of a skilled workforce to meet industry’s needs and is responsible for thirty-three (33) trades programs within the ICI sector.

CITO works collaboratively with industry, training providers, labour unions, government and other stakeholders to meet the construction industry’s training needs while at the same time providing career development opportunities for individual British Columbians.

CITO is governed by an eleven-person Board of Directors, whose members come from diverse sectoral backgrounds and have broad expertise regarding industry needs and training approaches.
